During the winter holiday in Romania, I took some pictures around the block where I live, and I used them as examples for what I was going to look for in Coventry. Thus, on my walks, with the help of my phone, with a camera that can no longer focus, I photographed places that reminded me of my hometown, then edited them in black and white, to somehow induce the Communist period, in a country where it had nothing to do with such a thing.
In most of the pictures the lack of people can be seen, a decision that I made to convey the feeling of abandoned, foreign, and cold place, something that I feel every time when I look at the photos from Romania, and the blur helped to transpose my vision of my homeland, through my eyes.
