Magda Czempka

Hello! My name is Magda. As a BA English student at Coventry University, I have been given the opportunity to combine my love of literature and storytelling, with the amazing craft of producing my own film! Who would have thought that in a traditionally classroom-based subject I would be able to do such a thing! Not me. AMAZING.

Anyway, titled A New Beginning, the futuristic film is set in 2221 and portrays the human colonisation of Mars. The Utopias and Dystopias module was by far my favourite because it has encouraged me to look into the future, assess current political/social issues as well as use my imagination to come up with solutions in an attempt to awaken the human mind and show that a number of things can be done to improve present-day society, both environmentally and socially.

So, what would be one of my biggest dreams? I would have to say that producing and directing my own film one day would be one of the greatest achievements and piecing together the scripts and footage while learning new editing skills and software have been processes I have thoroughly enjoyed.
