Xiaoyang Li

My name is Xiaoyang Li and I am an illustrator and comic book artist from China.

Humanism and social justice have always been the core themes of my work, and I focus on the narrative within editorial illustrations, and comics. I like to express my ideas through storytelling. In terms of style, I prefer pencil-like lines and flat, gentle and textured colours. Most of the time I work digitally with Photoshop and procreate, but I am also open to experimenting and exploring different materials and media.

I am always learning and exploring new methods and areas. I believe that there is a connection between everything and that everything can be my inspiration. I am motivated by finding my connection to others and to the world. I want my expressions to resonate, and my work to be like a hug that takes everyone into its arms and gives them comfort and courage.

In the future, I hope to become a freelance illustrator and independent comic book artist, to publish my own work and to be able to use my artworks to touch and influence others.
