'Radio Creature' Concept Art for Horror Game 'Lamp Light' by David Underhill

Hey, my name is David Underhill and I'm a concept artist from Coventry. I work with 2d and 3d programs to develop and bring ideas to life. With a passion for games and digital painting, I imagine worlds, narratives and the characters that inhabit them alongside some appealing prop designs. Inspired by films like 'Spirited Away' and games like 'Little Nightmares', I create fantasy and horror concepts with atmosphere and in-depth lore. The way these creators develop such a deep atmosphere with a range of emotions throughout captivates me and inspires me to achieve the same. I also enjoy the sci/fi genre of games and films which also heavily influences my work. I strive to develop stylised and realistic texturing when creating concepts alongside researching and being holistic in the process. This contributes to the believability of the designs in relation to the rules of the world they inhabit. With research going into industry standard concept art and the artists behind them, I practice getting my designs to a professional level and consistently work to improve and understand the processes involved in concept art creation. It's my dream to develop concepts that are then brought to life within a game.
