My name is Patricia Tania, and I am a digital media student at Raffles College of Higher Education, Singapore. Among all the projects I have done, I have considered UI/UX design my favourite since I intend to create apps that can help people. I have done a few UI/UX design projects, such as app concepts and web designs, and one of them I have presented is a mobile application named REI. The name "REI" was taken from the word "Cho Ku Rei," a Japanese symbol of healing. REI aims to help kleptomaniacs to get rid of their urge to steal. The feature of REI includes daily reminders, daily records, motivations, and awards that will be given to the users after completing some specific achievements so that they will be more enthusiastic about controlling their urges. The mobile app is fully published and is now available to download on Google Play Store.
The main feature of this mobile app is the daily record page which requires the user to fill in a daily form such as name, email, can you control your urge today and a short journal. Users who regularly fill in their daily records and have managed to control their urge for 50, 100, and 200 times will receive bronze, silver, and gold medals as their awards. The user will also get daily reminders in the form of notifications and as well as motivations to encourage them to feel better.
