Ana Margarida Almeida
BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design
My ethos as a designer comes from my strong passion for sustainability and not taking life too seriously. So my Workin'Chill Hostel & Co-Working is all about a minimalistic approach to a hybrid building while keeping it fun and functional.
Throughout my studies and placement year working in the sector, I had the chance to gain a lot of 2D and 3D skills, as well as researching and writing skills. I have a background in Visual Arts and enjoy doing things like furniture restoration and digital illustration in my free time.
An interception of living, working and entertainment. Workin'chill is a versatile hostel for younger generations to come together and spend time shopping, working and socializing.
The building- D. João III Arcades- is located in the city centre of Leiria, Portugal. It was built in 1986 and was once a Hotel and Retail centre. The Hotel went out of business in 2008 and since then it has been slowly degrading.
