Layla Meier-Siem

BA (Hons) Automotive and Transport – Autonomy

Hi, my name is Layla.
Prior to studying Automotive and Transport Design I managed to develop a broad background in a wide range of design disciplines such as fashion, yacht and product design. This enabled me to have a holistic and problem solving approach to design.
For me it all culminates in car design as it brings together a range of different disciplines to create a beautifully resolved and functional product.
It is important to me to evoke an emotional connection within the user when interacting with the product and I think this has recently led me to focus on automotive interior design.
It is the perfect symbiosis of interaction design and aesthetics.
I enjoy creating beautifully curated spaces that also address future mobility challenges and consider new directions.

MOV - Mobile Office Vehicle

This office vehicle is a response to COVID-19 and future pandemics that result in people working remotely.
It helps the worker to maintain a routine and a better work-life balance and will ultimately enhance the working experience and productivity of the worker.
The vehicle allows the user to work in any environment. Work can be performed inside and outside the vehicle. The exterior offers several interaction opportunities, making this vehicle 100% office purpose based.
