Genesis GIWA - a fully-autonomous compact luxury car for the Korean market in 2040

I am an aspiring designer from Korea, looking for further education and opportunities in the field of automotive design, preferably digital modelling. I was originally studying for a degree in English literature back home, but my life-long passion for cars led me to make the giant leap of enrolling in Coventry University and completely switching courses. The fruit of my studies here, my final major project - Genesis "GIWA" - is a fully-autonomous compact luxury vehicle, for the Korean market, in the year 2040.

Due to the rise of single-person (or 2-person) households and more than half of the country's population being concentrated in the Seoul Metropolitan Area, the need for big luxury saloons have become redundant in 2040 Korea. GIWA aims to be a new form of luxury car for this new form of Korean lifestyle.

The design is inspired mainly by traditional Korean architecture, but also takes notes from modern Korean home trends like transformable furniture. The seats for example, can be folded down to replicate the feeling of sitting on the living room floor in a typical Korean home.
