Jack Hillman
BA (Hons) Automotive and Transport – Urban systems

Throughout my degree I have specialised in CAD modelling and visualisation, specifically Autodesk Alias and VRED. I have also focused on using other software including: Autodesk Maya, 3DS Max, Photoshop, Blender, Zbrush and Substance Painter.
From initial sketches to final renders, I enjoy the end-to-end creative process, particularly the satisfaction that comes from successfully utilizing 3D modelling to realise my creative ideas. I relish the challenge of not only creating accurate models, but also environments to showcase them in. My keen interest in photography and moving image have informed my decisions on lighting and movement when composing my renders. Knowing what outcome I would want to achieve as if I was photographing the scene, I have been able to make better use of shaders when creating environments. I enjoy pushing my abilities and exploring what is possible using modelling software. I am passionate about design and exploring how technology can help to improve the lives of those using products, including the integration of HMI and UX to help create a satisfying and intuitive user experience.
