Matthew Foord
MDes / BA (Hons) Product Design

Hi, I'm Matt.
I hope you enjoy my final university project 'briefspace.'. I have enjoyed refining my design workflow and skillset whilst completing a wide variety of projects at Coventry. Over the four years, a highlight was working with numerous CAD and rendering packages to visualise realistic final products and I hope to take this forward in my future career.
I was honoured to receive recognition for my 'Transforming Urban Trolley' design produced during my enhancement year. Placing second in the Design Innovation in Plastics (DIP) 2020 competition and first in the Coventry University 'Faculty First' 2020 competition, which provided me with a substantial development grant - enabling the production of a prototype (please visit my website for more details).
The world's first portable ergonomic workstation. A unique combination of features to improve laptop use for flexible workers, in one stylish and convenient package.
This is a sustainable product which exudes quality due to the rigid aluminium foam shell, contemporary leather finish (Mylo™️ mushroom leather) and stainless steel hardware.
'briefspace.' aims to improve laptop ergonomics and portability to aid posture and productivity. Designed for those working at home, in third spaces or hot-desking. The padded case incorporates video-call and mood lighting, integral keyboard and accessory mats, as well as a large capacity rechargeable battery pack.
