Hi! I'm Aengus, a forward-thinking user-focussed designer who enjoys the process of imagining, visualising, and innovating intuitive experiences. During my four years at university, I have been committed to advancing my knowledge in order to become more versatile with my abilities.

Introducing 'PenPal', an innovative Epinephrine Auto-Injector for children. With allergies becoming a more widespread problem amongst the child population, I felt a solution was necessary. Allergic reactions are scary, and current products do not help, a minefield of information confuses rather than guides the user.

Sustainability was an important aspect, and therefore the product is the first of its kind with a refillable 0.15mg Epinephrine cartridge that's hygienic and cheap to help combat growing medical waste.

'PenPal' has been designed to streamline the process, cutting out all unnecessary information. The form grows with the user's hand as they get older as it widens from the base and an aesthetic that mimics a friendly penguin. Culminating in a product that will be with the user throughout the shock, making it a product the child wants to have instead of had to have because it is their 'Pal'.

An innovative child-friendly device that will save lives.
