Nish Lad

My name is Nish Lad. I'm a digital illustrator and designer based in Leicester, UK. My style is playful and energetic due to my use of bold bright colours and is mostly character driven. I studied Illustration & Graphics at Coventry University. I spent four years developing my skillset and abilities as an illustrator, this also included an enhancement year where I gained experience at a work placement. I worked at a Leicester based recording studio, creating single cover artwork and promotional materials for the musicians under the company label. I also gained experience at a Leicester Graphic & Web Design company working on character designs and icons. With both of these work experiences I was able to learn what it is like to work both; remotely as a freelancer, and within a company alongside others. My goal is to work as a digital illustrator at a company, preferably working on character design or User Interface illustrations. For my Final Major Project I have created character illustrations and promotional material for a video game. The game, which is my original concept, includes logo design, UI design and character design. This project allows me to showcase how broad my skillset is.
