Disney Comics+ is a rebranding of traditional Disney Comics. Many people who grew up with paper-based comics have a nostalgia that has never transferred to the digital realm. The stories they read and loved have been lost with modern digitalisation. As Gen Z in the US and Asia spends more time with webcomics, it presents an excellent opportunity for Disney to revive an extensive library of comics. These older comics will get a new breath of life and another chance to engage a new generation. Artists will also create their own new and unique stories and create a new legacy. The promotion will feature a centenary celebration of Disney, via a fanart webcomic event, with a pre-launch event that invites 100 local artists around the globe to show their love for Disney by making new webcomics. 10 winners will be featured on the main page on the launch of Disney Comics+.
