Francisco Oliveira
BA (Hons) Graphic Design

My dedication to Graphic Design comes from a young age. I taught myself Adobe Illustrator CS3 and when I finished my mandatory learning, I moved to a vocational course in Graphic Design where I learned graphic design's tools and techniques. While doing this vocational course, I started to collect some clients and work together with the school on some projects; I also had the opportunity to integrate the work market in their first years. I worked on several live projects for a diverse range of companies and travelled through Europe visiting new countries and exploring new cultures.
In my graphic work, I choose to follow the path of simplicity. I argue that graphic design should be an activity that quickly informs us. In most of the projects that I work on, I always consider their future. Although we are entering a new phase of technology, most design still requires physical outputs. For this reason, I make decisions during the graphic process that facilitates the transformation into physical formats. As part of my process, I also integrate approaches including 3D, illustration and photography to help raise the projects' quality.
