Sophie Nugent

With a practice that encompasses diverse forms of image making within documentary practices, Sophie Nugent is a photographer concerned with the human relationships and histories found within communities, and has worked with groups such as a Coventry Brownie troop, independent shops in Coventry, and an allotment in Buckinghamshire.Her present work explores communities linked by an interest in growing, and the shared transformative potential of working the land. With career aspirations within archival practices, Nugent has carried out archival work with organisations such as Rankin photography, Coventry Archives, and the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum. Post-graduation, she plans to set up her own archive business, tailored to digitising family archives.
