William Prentice
BA (Hons) Media Production

My name is William Prentice. I am a filmmaker, animator, editor and VFX artist. I have become fascinated with the world of animation since I was a child, falling in love with stop motion animation. I find that animation you can become more inventive and creative, when you're on a budget or doing a solo project. Animation helps me visually explore the creativity and storytelling, but the goal of animation and all forms of storytelling, is to make the audience become immersed and animation tries to mimic real life. While I am still learning how to animate with clay, plastic and puppets. LEGO is my go to when I want to create something light hearted and fun to animate.
My project, Desert Adventure. is a story of two archeologists discovering a new pyramid in Egypt, where it houses the mythical Staff of Anubis. It draws heavily off the action adventure genre and uses elements of historical drama, being a homage to films such as Indiana Jones.
