Linda Gorska
BA (Hons) Media Production

Linda Gorska is a Riga-born interdisciplinary media artist specializing in photography and filmmaking. She is steeped in documentary and experimental filmmaking and how those genres elide. Thus, her still and motion imagery styles range between cinematic and journalistic. Black and white or pastel-colored artworks juxtapose light and darkness, emptiness and fullness, stability and movement, and investigate the balance between these seemingly opposing elements.
An experimental visual poetry expressed through still and motion images portraying a story about main character's inner conversation with the nature within himself. The four elements - air, fire, water, earth depicts processes for the main character to awaken his inner image created by nature. At the end, a story from a clash of the opposites resolves into love, act coming together as a whole and leaving emptiness for what the opposite sides create.
