2016 was the year I came to the fashion world, without knowing much about it. Having a fashion designer mom becoming one of the challenge that comparison among society will always happen, but I don’t want to be under her shadow. I want to be a designer who has her own style and philosophy in designing. That brought me to always hunger of learning. Along the learning process, I am not just learn about the technique in making garment, but also learning to understand who I am as a designer. Although I found my style, but I still not find the reason to stop learning.

My last project solipsis-Me, is the collection where from it I am knowing myself. The tailoring, the cut, the color and the silhouette describe the way I see my style. Beside creating garments, I also challenge myself to design and create bag collections. I did the collaboration with a bag factory and I also made the bag by myself. Through this project I’d like to create a connection between the clothes to every viewer through emotions and memories, whereby they understand this collection from the experience of their dream.

Solipsis-Me came from The word Solipsism, which means the view or theory that the self is all that can be known to exist (Oxford Language, n.d), is the summary of this collection. The feeling of uncertainty of what we saw in the dream left us puzzled when we woke up from the dream.. Dream-life is a gift created just to ourselves where rules of reality do not apply. This collection is a visual interpretation of my dreams through fashion with augmented oversized silhouettes, and it is reversible and transformable to depict the vividness and vagueness of my dreams.
