This page contains work from students on our suite of postgraduate English and Creative Writing degrees: MA English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics; MA English and Education Management; MA Professional Creative Writing.
There's a really diverse range of material to explore. The Creative Writing students have produced an excellent anthology of experimental poetry, some illustrated poems and an innovative example of video work. Students on the two teaching programmes have delivered a series of thought-provoking video poster presentations. Key issues explored here include common classroom problems (and how to resolve them) and the ways in which feedback can help to improve language learning. There’s also some superb work looking at how literature, specifically Edward Lear’s ‘The Owl and the Pussy Cat’, can be employed to teach English as a foreign language.
